What makes Veestro meal delivery plans so great? It could be that it is 100% plant based, or the fact that everything is organic. Some might say it’s the fact that there are no preservatives, while others are happy with fully prepped meals. They have gluten free, kosher, or both meal packs ready for perusal. They are also on the less expensive end of the scale, especially since everything is organic.
Here is my honest Veestro Meal Plan review.

The quality of the food is outstanding! From the first bite of their Mushroom Risotto, that I heated in the microwave, I could tell that is was made from the highest quality of ingredients. Their food is most definitely some of the best quality foods, and I’m even talking about stuff I cook from fresh foods at home. The 3 Layer Scramble was the only let down as far as quality goes, and I’m planning to order it again to see if that’s the way it normally comes, or if it was a goof on their part. They seemed to attempt to try and add fake “cheese” on top that turned out to be nothing but oil with no flavor whatsoever.
As far as taste this is another home run for me. Most of the food way yummy, and seasoned perfectly to my palette. There were 2 items that fell short on this one. The Oatmeal Breakfast Pie was a little bland, but nothing a good dash or 2 of cinnamon can’t cure. The Johnny Appleseed juice they sent was a complete bust. It’s halfway between a juice and a not so blended smoothie. If you aren’t a fan of extra or extreme pulp in your juice then steer clear. The taste was okay, like a normal green juice, but I could not get through the texture.
Now, on to quantity. And by that, I mean the amount of food in each meal. These are light meals to me. They could also be considered a heavy snack. They don’t fill me up as much as I’d like, but then I’m needing to lose some serious weight, so maybe they are good after all. The meals themselves that I received range in calories from about 350-500, so if you’re eating three meals a day then 1,050-1,500 calories. For someone wanting to eat a 2,000-2,200 calorie a day diet, that is a lot of snacking. In some cases it is less than half of their daily caloric intake. For me, the main bulk of my calories should come at meals, and this doesn’t do it for me. Just something to keep in mind.
11 of the 12 meals that I got can be heated in the microwave, and come out quite well. Not sure if it’s my microwave, but a lot of these required more time than what was on the packaging.
Overall, I would definitely buy again. I am planning on doing an a la carte menu so I can try even more different options, and definitely ordering at least one, if not all three, of the desserts since sweets are definitely my thing.
If this helped you in any way, or if you have any questions please comment and I will be more than happy to elaborate!
